Presented on November 4, the Ultimate Trial Notebook is annually presented by the Civil Litigation Section of the Austin Bar Association. Hosted by Vinson & Elkins, this year’s conference was sponsored by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, the Honorable Patrick Keel, Rainmaker Document Technologies, and TERIS. Topics included jury selection, opening statements, direct and cross-examination, expert witnesses, motion practice, and closing arguments in complex litigation.
On October 28, Karen Burgess served as a presiding officer and presented on extraordinary remedies at The University of Texas School of Law’s 40th Annual Page Keeton Civil Litigation Conference. The seminar provides litigators with advanced updates in the law as well as advocacy strategies.
